Rapid Diagnostic Tests for Male Cancers contains:
Bowel Health Care Test

Bowel polyp rapid home test is important for early detection of colon cancer. This rapid test will allow early identification of potential occult blood or intestinal conditions.

Within Europe colon cancer is third place among malignant tumours among men and women after breast cancer.

Who you should take the bowel polyp detection test every year?

  • If you are over 40 years old (both women and men);
  • if you have cancer in your family;
  • if you have at least one of the following symptoms, you need to test yourself today:

-  chronic diarrhoea or constipation, or both;

-  abdominal distension, feeling of fullness or gas retention;

- weight loss and loss of appetite;

- for no apparent reason but always having a persistent mild fever (37.2 - 37.5 C);

- pain in the rectum during a bowel movement, or sitting;

- anaemia.

Why is it so important to take the bowel occult blood test?

Studies have shown that if colon cancer is detected at an early stage, only 10% of the cases end in death within five years, while cancer detected in later stages has over a 90% mortality rate.

In 95% of cases, bowel polyps or tumours cause the large bowel (colon) cancer and they are often discovered by chance during colonoscopy or a CT colonography. If blood is detected in your stool, you can consult a doctor for advanced studies.

Why should you take Helicobacter pylori test?

Approximately 80% of the population carries the Helicobacter pylori bacteria, that replicates the mucosa cells and in effect harms the lining of the gastrointestinal tract, therein leading to chronic inflammation. There is a link between these bacteria and the incipience of gastric cancer. Both children and adults may become infected, as it is not possible to vaccinate oneself against the bacteria. If your rapid home test results in a positive result, then there is no need for alarm, as your doctor can prescribe treatment (antibiotics) to eradicate the bacteria.

Who should be tested? Test yourself if you have at least one of these symptoms:

  • discomfort and pain in the stomach area;
  • loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting;
  • tightness in the upper abdomen; continuous unpleasant taste in the mouth
